History
Initiated at F-XF4928 - Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) meeting, May 2002, Maui HI (USA). Interim Organizing Committee officially dissolved, Oct 2007, and Organizing Committee convened. Funding cut and program discontinued as of 30 Jun 2011.
Aims
Develop a complete, scientifically sound, and electronically accessible Pacific biological knowledge base and make it widely available to local, national, regional and global users for decision-making.
