History
Founded on merger of H-XH0113 - International Work Platform Association (IWPA), created Sep 1976, and U-XU0630 - International Federation of Hydraulic Platform Manufacturers (IFHPM), set up Jan 1977.
Aims
Promote and extend the use of members' products; take action on matters of interest to the powered access equipment industry; encourage high standards of safety and good trading by members; promote safety training for operators; represent the industry in discussions at government level in user countries; liaise with other trade associations; encourage technical efficiency by cooperation in the establishment of standards and the discussion of common problems.
