The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).
Founded
1948
History
1948, as a commission of B-XB3501 - World Council of Churches (WCC), deriving from H-XH5512 - Faith and Order Movement, set up in 1910, which was a constituent founding movement of WCC. WCC restructured 2006, when it became an activity within 3 programme areas.
Aims
Proclaim the oneness of the Church of Jesus Christ; call churches to the goal of visible unity in one faith and in one eucharistic fellowship, expressed in worship and in common life in Christ; advance towards that unity in order that the world may believe.
