1998, as a project of F-XB1478 - International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM). Full title: Support Programme for Cultural Heritage of North Africa and Near and Middle East Countries. Project began 1992. Ceased to exist.
Safeguard the cultural heritage of the Maghreb region; assist ICCROM member states having similar problems in the same cultural and physical environment to receive programmes tailored to their specific situations in training professionals and in a combined set of working methods and statutory functions covering research, advocacy, training, documentation and cooperation.
