The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

1984
History
1984, as an affiliate body of F-XF5358 - Foundation for Environmental Conservation (FEC). Constitution revised 17 May 1988. Ceased to function separately from FEC, 24 Oct 1992.
Aims
Safeguard the continuing integrity of The Biosphere by serving as a select international forum for analysis and appraisal of existing and foreseeable relationships between human population and economic development and the totality of living and life-supporting systems of our planet which collectively constitute The Biosphere.
