History

1999, within the framework of WHO Regional Office for Europe (WHO/Europe), under the title WHO European Centre for Integrated Health Care Services. Previously also referred to as European Centre for Integrated Health Services Delivery and WHO European Office for Integrated Health Care Services (IHB).

Aims

Identify approaches which can promote and facilitate evidence-based decision-making in Member States on the development of strategies for health care services.

Activities

Through diagnosis of the health system, analysis of options, management of country-based policy analysis programmes, and high-level policy dialogue during which recommendations are made, supports countries in organizing health policy analysis and strengthening the link between evidence and policy-making. Also leads activities for capacity building and institutional development for health financing and policy analysis at national and regional levels.
