The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

Aims

Contribute to the quality improvement of literary, scientific and technical translations into Spanish and Portuguese; stimulate translations into these languages and from these languages to others; stimulate the exchange of information in the translation field through the integration of a regional network; promote the improvement of translation teaching assisting the translation schools and contributing to raise the professional status of translators; promote studies and research on translation; encourage the use of terminological resources; promote the coordination among institutions related to translation at national and regional level and participate in other regional or international relevant programs.
