Promote and preserve Hindu welfare, philosophy and culture; evolve an education system and curriculum based on Hindu dharma; safeguard legitimate rights of Hindus, particularly freedom of worship; foster mutual appreciation and understanding among various orders of Hindu heritage and inculcate a sense of oneness among them; safeguard and promote noble ideals of Hindu culture and strengthen Hindu society; facilitate exchange of information and ideas; extend spiritual and cultural activities to cater for special needs of Hindus in socio-economic development; in particular set up centres for practice of yoga for spiritual, mental and physical development and establish, maintain, manage or assist temples, gurudwaras, mathas, ashrams, viharas and other Hindu worshipping places.
