The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

History
10 Feb 1972, Oldenburg (Germany FR), as Centre of Mail Artists and International Artists' Cooperation (IAC) and Micro Hall Art Centre. Name changed, 1987, to Black Panel World Foundation (BPWF). Present name adopted 1992. Between 1987-1991, both organizations were referred to as BPWF, and since 1992 as WFAA, although the Micro Hall Art Centre still exists as an autonomous centre at Edewecht (Germany). Incorporated 'Institute of Micro Hall Art Centre', 'Literaturium/Centre for Literature and Theatre Experiments' and Archive for Experimental Poetry. Ceased to exist in 2007.
Aims
Act as a clearinghouse for information about individual creative art activities in order to bring creative working people into contact with each other.
