Iberoamerican Association of Postgraduate Universities
Founded 1987, on the initiative of OEI, under the name Ibero-American University for Graduate Studies -- Université ibéroaméricaine d'études post-universitaires -- Universidad Iberoamericana de Postgrado (UIP), as a network of centres of postgraduate studies, for servicing especially the graduate students from Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain and Portugal. Present name adopted 1994.
Advance postgraduate studies in the community of Ibero-American nations by: collecting information on them; making such information available to them and to others who may benefit from this network, such as graduate students and researchers; providing and facilitating program evaluation and accreditation processes; promoting international understanding, cooperation and academic integration.
