within the framework of F-XD0055 - Andean Community, as the main policy-making of the F-XF4919 - Sistema Andino de Integración (SAI), replacing Commission of the Cartagena Agreement -- Commission de l'Accord de Carthagène -- Comisión del Acuerdo de Cartagena.
Make, implement and evaluate Andean subregional integration policy in the areas of trade and investment; adopt measures necessary for attaining the objectives of the Cartagena Agreement and for implementing the Guidelines of the Andean Presidential Council; coordinate the joint position of member countries in international fora and negotiations within its area of responsibility.

Commission consists of a plenipotentiary representative from each member country of the Andean Community. Legislative role, expressed through the adoption of Decisions, is shared with with the E-XE3582 - Andean Council of Foreign Ministers.
