Founded 1990, Hamilton Is (Australia), as World Federation of Coloproctology. Subsequently changed title to World Council of Coloproctology (WCCP).

Aims

Facilitate training programmes, dissemination of information, development of national societies and communication between national societies of colorectal surgery and colorectal surgeons; arrange outreach programmes for training and education in colorectal surgery; promote bowel cancer screening programmes.
