Be the Asia-pacific forum for exchange of knowledge and skills in cataract and refractive surgery; promote research in cataract and refractive surgery; associate with national cataract and/or refractive surgery societies as well as assist them in educational and training issues; collaborate with national associations or organizations to host annual congresses in the region; support and promote the initiative to advance development of cataract and refractive surgery in the Asia-Pacific.
