Founded as the staff union within D-XD4489 - European Patent Office (EPO); the successor body to Syndicat du personnel de l'Institut international des brevets (SPIIB), which represented staff of H-XH2338 - International Patent Institute.
Represent the interests of EPO staff in general and those of members in particular.
Local Unions (4) in: Berlin (Germany), Munich (Germany), The Hague (Netherlands) and Vienna (Austria). Central Chairmanship rotates among the 4 towns. Central Committee, consisting of Chairman (Rotating presidency/Rotierende Präsidentschaft/Présidence rotative), 3 Deputy Chairmen, Treasurer, Secretary and Deputy Members. Executive Committees (4), located in the 4 above-mentioned towns, each composed of President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary and members.
