History

Mar 1953, The Hague (Netherlands), as Grand Order of European Tour Operators, mainly to handle European affairs of large American tour operators; current title adopted 1973. No recent activity reported since 1988.

Aims

Build up a recognised body of experts with an established place in the travel world; bring together travel organizers who do not have their own overseas offices but use services of local agents and receiving agents; exchange information between members and ensure liaison with tour companies.
