History
Founded during International Coffee Congress, simultaneously with H-XD0353 - Committee of European Coffee Associations (CECA), when it also federated with H-XD0243 - European Federation of Associations of Coffee Roasters, set up 3 Feb 1967, Hamburg. Took over activities of EUCA, CECA and U-XE0163 - Association of Soluble Coffee Manufacturers of the European Community, 1 Jan 2006, and of H-XD1937 - European Association of Decaffeinators, 1 Jan 2012.
Aims
Facilitate the development of an environment in which the European coffee trade and industry can meet the needs of consumers and society, while competing effectively to ensure the resilience and long-term sustainability of the coffee supply chain; offer a transparent forum for exchange and promote the sector’s common interests in the largest coffee consuming continent, representing over 30% of the world’s coffee consumption.
