Standing Commission, comprising 24 members, of which 12 are chosen by LAS and 12 by OAU, together with the 2 Secretaries-General of these organizations. Presidency of the Commission is provided jointly by the Presidents of LAS and OAU, with meetings held alternately at the seats of these organizations. Coordinating Committee, consisting of the 2 Presidents and 2 Secretaries-General, oversees the action of task forces and implementation of decisions. Standing Commission (meets every 6 months).
