History
Founded by a federation of 5 Serra clubs. Name derives from Saint Junipero Serra.
The Serra International Foundation was created 25 Oct 1951, and incorporated as a non-for-profit corporation in the State of Illinois (USA).
Aims
Foster and promote vocations to the ministerial priesthood of the Catholic Church as a particular vocation to service and to support priests in their sacred ministry; encourage and affirm vocations to consecrated religious life in the Catholic Church; assist members to recognize and respond in their own lives to God's call to holiness in Jesus Christ and through the Holy Spirit.

Annual Convention. Officers: President; President-Elect; 4 Vice-Presidents (elected for one year at International Convention); Secretary and Treasurer (elected for 2 years). Board of Trustees, consisting of 11 trustees, 8 principal officers, Immediate Past President, together with such additional trustees, not to exceed 3, as from time to time may be determined by the Board of Trustees. Executive Director. Episcopal Adviser (3-year term). Standing Committees (8): Vocation Activities; Internal Program; Constitution and Bylaws; Membership; Finance and Budget; Communications; Long Range Planning; Audit.
