1992-09-12 Warsaw Poland

History

12 Sep 1992, Warsaw (Poland), at founding meeting, by U-XF0150 - International Organization for Unification of Terminological Neologisms (IOUTN). Registered in accordance with Polish law. From Sep 2002, H-XD8582 - International Specialized Terminology Organization (ISTO) comprises the combined IOUTN and IFTB.

Aims

Sponsor and facilitate formation of terminology centres and collections worldwide, especially in developing countries; provide information and enable exchange of terminological data and resources; represent member banks, centres and collections with governmental and nongovernmental organizations.
