Networking Programmes (4): 'Progressive Challenge' articulates new progressive 'Fairness Agenda for America' at the local, state and national levels; 'The Social Action and Leadership School for Activists (SALSA)' teaches activists how to manage, organize, communicate and strategize more effectively; 'Letelier-Moffit Human Rights Award'; 'International Links'. Scholarly Programmes (4): 'Global Economy' supports activists in the labour, environmental, family farm, religious, consumer and economic justice movements who seek more equitable and sustainable paths toward economic integration; 'Paths for the 21st Century' defines the economic, political and social requisites for human decency over the next generation; 'Sustainable Communities' links IPS with community activists, civil servants and local elected officials to develop policies for creating full employment, consistent with the goals of social justice and ecological sustainability; 'Peace and Security' for a non military foreign policy. Transnational Institute (TNI) and Third World Women's Project are programs of the Institute. Project set up in 1996: 'Foreign Policy in Focus', an international think-thank.
