History
28 Aug 1990, when commenced interim operations as a Regional Centre/Project of D-XD3257 - Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO). Became a full-fledged regional centre, July 1994. Programmes and activities fully operationalized under the first 5-year development plan (1994-1999). Currently the Centre is preparing for the 7th 5-year development plan 2024-2029.
Aims
Enhance technical and vocational education and training systems of SEAMEO member countries through innovative capability building, research and development and information services.
