Improve socio-economic, cultural and moral conditions through use of the cooperative system; disseminate cooperative information; arrange technical assistance for members; promote social, cultural and economic interchange and the unification of national laws affecting cooperatives; defend the interests of the cooperative movement in the American continent; represent the cooperative movement at all levels; compare different cooperative movements in the continent and worldwide.
