History
as Regional Educational Programme for Animal Health Assistants, within the framework of D-XD4579 - Caribbean Community (CARICOM). Also referred to as Regional Programme for the Education and Training of Animal Health and Veterinary Public Health Assistants. Ceased to exist following decision of Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community, 2001, Belize (Belize), since which time operations are merged with those of the Guyana School of Agriculture.
Aims
Train animal health and veterinary public health technicians to augment the pool of veterinary expertise in the region; support the livestock production initiatives in the region by providing quality training; conduct short term training as demanded by the region's agriculture sector.
