Become a strong advocate and platform for youth interaction and innovative programmes and projects in which young adults and professionals work and deal with emerging issues which directly affect their lives; support youth policy development in the region; assist countries in institution building and strengthening youth ministries; coordinate integration between NGOs and government agencies dealing with youth; support youth work as a professional occupation; encourage networking and cultural and work contacts throughout the region through youth exchange and work parties; involve youth workers at grassroots level in implementation of government policies and programmes for community development and participation; facilitate programmes giving young people the opportunity to contribute to nation building; promote recognition of trained workers in their own countries.
