Aims

Provide knowledge on the behaviour of motor vehicle drivers under different circumstances (environment, vehicle) to competent national and international organizations; act as a catalyst and coordinator in research to improve range and effectiveness of means to improve road safety and reduce road accident deaths, injuries and long-term disability.

Activities

Coordinates multidisciplinary and international studies on drivers' behaviour and the means of reducing the number and severity of road accidents, including risk exposure measurement, accident and injury modelling, alcohol and drug impairment of young drivers, assessment of drivers' attitudes and opinions risk-taking on expressways. Organizes conferences, workshops, symposia on specific subjects.
