Facilitate sharing of information, ideas, experiences and resources in AIDS-related work; promote cooperation and collaboration in HIV/AIDS work; strengthen country networks; promote coherent and supportive non-discriminatory policies on medical, social, economic, political, legal, ethical and religious matters affecting people with HIV infection and AIDS; defend the rights of HIV-infected persons with AIDS and lobby governments to enact legislation which will address the plight of affected people and effective response to HIV/AIDS.
