The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

History

within the framework of U-XK0366 - Links between Actions for the Development of the Rural Economy (LEADER+), an initiative of H-XD0665 - European Community implemented by E-XE2442 - European Commission (EC) through E-XE1673 - AEIDL - European Association for Information on Local Development. Ceased to exist, 31 Dec 2001.

Aims

Facilitate innovation transfer and exchange of experience and know-how between territories and rural players of the European Union and to raise the profile of the LEADER programme and the EU's rural development policy.

Structure

Operational entities: permanent team of about 20 people at AEIDL, responsible for realizing activities and for coordinating the plan of action; pool of rural development experts (about 30); national units responsible for leadership of the Network in most EU member states.
