1962, with the title International URSIgram and World Days Service (IUWDS) -- Service international des ursigrammes et jours mondiaux, combining the former International World Days Service, initiated in 1959, and the former URSI Central Committee of URSIgrams, initiated in 1928. Current title adopted Jan 1997. Previously a permanent service of H-XB0930 - Federation of Astronomical and Geophysical Data Analysis Services (FAGS), under the auspices of C-XC2770 - Union radio-scientifique internationale (URSI), in association with B-XC1382 - International Astronomical Union (IAU) and A-XA2722 - International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG).
