22 Oct 1955, Turin (Italy), following several meetings dating from 1953. Statutes adopted May 1957, Vichy (France). Registered under French law. Also known in French as Union européenne de médecine d'assurance et de sécurité sociale.

Aims

Study medico-social problems in European countries and compare solutions adopted by national societies; exchange information on all problems of public health in the physical and psychological sense and from the social point of view.
