on initiative of F-XF5401 - Avocats Sans Frontières (ASF), in response to limitations of H-XF3645 - International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR), which was set up under United Nations Security Council Resolution 944 of Nov 1994.
Study the operation of the ICTR; assemble attorneys and jurists to seek improvements in ICTR charter and implementation; train attorneys in international penal law, rights of persons and human rights; campaign for creation of a permanent International Penal Tribunal and related organizations of defence attorneys; organize the collective defence and indemnization of victims.
