History

Founded Apr 1955, Geneva (Switzerland), to represent staff members of F-XD0820 - European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN). Statutes approved 20 nov 2002; amended 26 Mar 2004, 23 Mar 2007, 11 Apr 2008, 20 Apr 2010, 17 Apr 2012, 24 May 2013 and 22 May 2014.

Aims

Promote and defend the interests of CERN staff through collective negotiation; improve the employment, working, safety and welfare conditions for all staff; safeguard the rights and defend the interests of the families of CERN staff; facilitate the integration in the Geneva (Switzerland) area; provide collective and individual representation, consultation and advisory services, social and cultural activities; pursue relations with other associations or unions representing staff of international organizations and of related national institutions.
