Founded Feb 2003, Malta, at the General Assembly of F-XF4881 - EuroMed Rights. Statutes adopted 29-31 Oct 2004. Officially launched 9 Dec 2004. Previously also referred to as Non-Governmental Platform for the Euro-Mediterranean Civil Forum - Plate-forme non gouvernementale EuroMed; NGO Platform for the Euromed Civil Forum; Foundation for the Euro-Mediterranean Civil Forum. Registered in accordance with Danish law, Oct 2004.
Provide strategic financial assistance to regional, national and local human rights NGOs and institutes as well as individuals who promote, support, protect and monitor the observance of human rights in the South-Mediterranean region.
