Provide a focal point for those interested in, and concerned with, conducting national mathematics competitions for the purpose of stimulating the learning of mathematics; serving as a resource for exchange of information and ideas on mathematics competitions and related activities; assist with development and improvement of mathematics competitions and related activities; increase public awareness of the role of mathematics competitions and related activities in the education of all students and assuring that the importance of that role is properly recognized in academic circles; create and enhance professional links between mathematicians involved in competitions and related activities around the world.
