Brussels (Belgium), within the framework of E-XE2442 - European Commission (EC). For 27 Jun 1989-27 Jun 1993, an integrated part of U-XK0145 - Strategic Analysis Forecasting and Assessment Evaluation (MONITOR Programme) together with U-XK0181 - Strategic Analysis in Science and Technology (SAST Programme) and U-XF0055 - Forecasting and Assessment in the Field of Science and Technology (FAST Programme).

Aims

Supply tools required for evaluation of European Community activities concerned with research and technological development (RTD); improve evaluation methodology of RTD activities and strengthen effectiveness of evaluations undertaken; develop or improve tools to analyse a programme's economic impact and indicators of RTD results, the guidelines for conduct of evaluations; pilot and carry out 'horizontal' evaluations of aspects common to several RTD programmes, such as effect on European economic and social cohesion, on training of scientists in Europe, on small and medium-sized enterprises.
