History

1903, Tortona (Italy), by Don Luigi Orione, as a grouping of five distinct communities, including a congregation of priests with papal approbation Sons of Divine Providence -- Filii Divinae Providentiae, and two communities of sisters Little Missionary Sisters of Charity (PMC) and Perpetual Adorers of the Blessed Sacrament. Approved 20 Nov 1954.

Aims

Spread knowledge and love of Jesus Christ, the Church and the Pope, particularly among ordinary, poor and young people; attract and unite all the children to the Apostolic See.

Apostolate of charity among the poor through institutions and works of spiritual and corporal mercy as most suited to Christian education and training of needy young people and people in general.
