Founded 1961, as International Association for Statistics in Physical Sciences (IASPS) -- Association internationale pour la statistique dans les sciences physiques. Adopted current title, 1975, when it became a section of A-XA2590 - International Statistical Institute (ISI). Also referred to simply as Bernoulli Society (BernSoc).
Promote advancement of the sciences of probability (including stochastic processes) and mathematical statistics of their application to all those aspects of human endeavour, which are directed towards the increase of natural knowledge and the welfare of mankind.
