Founded 26 Sep 1971, when constitution was adopted; declaration of principles, 22 May 1982, Seoul (Korea Rep). Constitution most recently revised, Jun 1999.
Aims
Maintain efficient liaison among member countries and other hospital associations in the region; coordinate activities of hospital associations in the region for the attainment of quality healthcare; establish and promote a system for information exchange on every aspect of hospital and healthcare services and on the latest advances and developments in medical sciences and technology; obtain the highest attainable standards of hospital management and administration; promote and maintain friendly relations and mutual assistance.
