Founded during 9th International Cancer Congress, the idea of setting up such an association having been launched at 1st International Workshop for the Therapy of Lung Cancer, 20 Oct 1972, Washington DC (USA).

Promote the study of etiology, epidemiology, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and all other aspects of lung cancer.
