1985, with the title American Society for Metals - Europe (ASM-Europe), as the European branch of G-XF0015 - ASM International (ASM). Listed name adopted 1993. Registered in accordance with Belgian law. Ceased to exist.

Gather, process and disseminate technical information; foster the understanding and application of engineered materials and their research, design, reliable manufacture, use and economic and social benefits.
