June 1994, Oslo (Norway), within the assistance of International Council of Voluntary Agencies (ICVA) and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). Previously also referred to as Partners in Action. The term 'PARinAC' came to refer to all activities involving UNHCR and NGOs. No longer operational.
Provide a common agenda in 5 priority areas: protection; internally displaced persons; emergency preparedness and response; relief to development continuum; NGO-UNHCR partnership.Available with paid subscription only.
Acted as Global Focal Point and supported networking of focal points at regional, continental and inter-continental levels. Where possible, indigenous NGO focal points work through national coordination bodies.
