Aims

Serve as a forum for discussion and exchange of ideas and collect and disseminate information on problems that confront the Asian environment; promote research and monitor programmes concerning environmental pollutants; alert Asian governments and people regarding possible hazards and dangers to the environment; provide the people, especially public policy-makers, educators and scientists, with information and factual assessment of the degree and nature of man's polluting activities; formulate specific recommendations and measures regarding the whole environmental and developmental problem; cooperate with bodies and individuals concerned.
