History
Aug 1991, Sabah, following meeting of representatives of F-XF3094 - Grameen Bank (GB) and similar programmes in the region which was organized by U-XG0218 - Institute of Development Studies, Kota Kinabalu (IDS). Also referred to as Asia-Pacific Network for Credit and Savings for the Hardcore Poor.
Aims
Further reduce hardcore poverty in the region by providing technical assistance to scale up existing credit and savings programmes for the poor and by promoting new Grameen Bank replications where they are needed; reach 10 million poor households with income-generating loans by the year 2005.
