History
Founded officially 1991. Origins go back to 1981 when a group of interested individuals and researchers organized its first meeting in the Netherlands, and continued to meet every 2 years.
Aims
Encourage research into all aspects of gender differentiation in science and technology education; facilitate the entry of women in employment in science and technology fields; foster socially-responsible and gender-inclusive science and technology; provide a forum for dissemination and discussion of research findings and experiences in the field.
