30 Jul 1996, Singapore (Singapore), as Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies, Singapore (IDSS). Present name adopted Jan 2007. Named after politician S Rajaratnam (1915-2006).
Aims
Provide professional graduate education; conduct policy-relevant research in defence, national security, international relations, strategic studies and diplomacy; foster a global network of like-minded professional schools.
