History
17 Nov 1955, as radiophonic working group, when statutes were adopted. Subsequently took the title Community of French-Language Radio Programmes -- Communauté radiophonique des programmes de langue française. Jun 1983, Montréal (Canada), name changed to Communauté des radios publiques de langue française (CRPLF) -- Community of French-Language Public Radio Broadcasters. Present name adopted 2002. Ceased to exist, Jan 2016, when merged with H-XD0386 - Communauté des télévisions francophones (CTF) to become F-XM5079 - Les Médias Francophones Publics (MFP).
Aims
Promote the international community of French-speaking countries and ensure cooperation among members through exchanging and co-producing radio programmes.
