History

as European Programme of Advanced Continuing Education (EUROPACE) or PACE; re-established as as EuroPACE 2000 - Professional and Academic Channel for Europe 2000, 8 Dec 1993. As of 4 Jan 2006, current full title: EuroPACE - European Professional Association for Collaboration in E-learning. Registered in accordance with Belgian law. Following ceasing organizational activities, institutions integrated into F-XF2402 - EDEN Digital Learning Europe (EDEN), Jan 2014.

Aims

Foster international networked e-learning: for virtual mobility; for internationalization of higher education; for knowledge creation and sharing; for lifelong learning. Function as a virtual university for Europe in a network grouping universities, enterprises and organizations with interest in the field of distance education and continuing education; contribute towards realizing the concept of lifelong learning by using various models to demonstrate and develop the potential of telematics and multimedia for education and training within the European university of the future; use information technology to give enterprises direct access to top level training schemes provided by higher education institutions and centres of excellence all over Europe.
