27 June 1951, Reims (France), as International Secretariat of Christian Artists (ISCA) -- Secrétariat international des artistes chrétiens -- Secretariado Internacional de Artistas Cristianos -- Internationales Sekretariat Christlicher Künstler -- Segretariato Internazionale degli Artisti Cristiani, at General Assembly of Pax Romana, International Catholic Movement for Intellectual and Cultural Affairs (ICMICA). Since 1964 the Society is an independent ecumenical Secretariat but remains a member of Pax Romana.
