Provide a permanent secretariat and public relations centre for all European culture collections; act as central contact point for European scientists and institutions seeking advice and information on cultures; act as a focal point for future cooperative and collaborative studies; collect information on strains and services offered by European Community culture collections to users; publicize materials and scientific expertise available within culture collections.
