History
21 Feb 1996, Montevideo (Uruguay), when 'Montevideo Declaration' was approved, a proposal to set up an organization that would bring together institutions of higher education from all over the world to address the problem of integral education of the whole person as a primary responsibility of universities and institutions of higher learning having been made by Rev Sun Myung Moon, at 1st international meeting, 1983, Seoul (Korea Rep), of F-XF0207 - Professors World Peace Academy (PWPA). Based at University of Bridgeport, Bridgeport CT (USA) and at the Sun Moon University, Korea Rep.
Aims
Educate young people of all nations as world citizens; promote education centred on harmony, purity, peace and unity; promote the establishment of an international network of higher learning institutions.
Structure
Executive Board, comprising Chairman, Vice-Chairman and 5 members. Academic Advisory Board, consisting of Chairman and 11 members. Ad hoc committees. Asian division: U-XE4632 - Asia University Federation (AUF).
