Founded Jun 1969, Siena (Italy), as International Association of Dentistry for Children (IADC) -- Association internationale d'odonto-stomatologie infantile, at 2nd International Symposium of Child Dental Health, an 'International Forum of Dentistry for Children' having been held in Feb 1968, London (UK). Current title adopted 1993. Previously also referred to in French as Association internationale de dentisterie pédiatrique (AIDP) and Association internationale d'odonto-stomatologie pédiatrique.
Comprise a forum for exchange of international information concerning paediatric dentistry; contribute to progress and promotion of dental health for children and encourage research in the field.
